Can You Imagine REALLY Making A Difference?

Can you imagine a better life for our troubled girls? A life where
the girls can trust people around them, and in turn, trust themselves?
Can you imagine helping our girls to stay safe, overcome trauma, improve
in school, find a job and gain confidence and hope?
I want to share with you that we have recently launched "Can You Imagine?"
a new annual fund campaign to support Excelsior Youth Center's mission
to treat and educate young females in order to enhance their successful
re-integration into their families.
There are many opportunities to support the girls we serve. Their
needs are so great, their hurts so grave, their despair so profound.
It takes all of our talent, commitment and resources to stabilize
them and begin to see improvement. "The staff at Excelsior were there
for me when I really needed someone. I do not know where I would be
today without the guidance I received." said Amy, former student.
Can you imagine helping our girls thrive this year? Many Excelsior
graduates share with us that Excelsior saved their lives. Before Excelsior
these girls were on a dark path with no good options. Now, our graduates
have jobs, live healthy lifestyles, and are productive members of
our communities. The girls have bright futures and good options.
Here are some recent outcomes for girls who transitioned from Excelsior
two years ago:
97% have maintained a less restrictive living situation.
71% reported no substance use.
95% have not required a psychiatric hospitalization.
70% were successfully employed.
These bright futures are made possible because of you and your generosity.
Can we count on you to help again this year? Please click

Thank you for all you do for the girls and young women at Excelsior...and
for imagining a brighter future for each.
Sincerely,
Joan Gabrielson Executive Director
P.S. Your gift will make a major impact this year as Excelsior works
to provide our girls with all they need in the face of the economic
downturn.
